Happy Fall Y'all!!

It's officially the FIRST DAY OF FALL!!

Washington was greeted with a Fabulous Rainy, Gloomy Cold Day yesterday. And, I loved every. single. second of it. Why? Well, there's been SUNSHINE all SUMMER LONG, literally.
And, I loved that too. I really did but longed for the rain. I'm a southern girl, growing up in Texas with thunderstorms and rainfall is something I loved, still do. And, after the last few duty stations; Hawaii, San Diego, China Lake (3 yrs of dry desert, rare rainfall), I was beyond happy to move to the place that some have called "depressing". Not, depressing to me at all.

I was motivated to get outdoors for a RUN with my girls in the double jogger. My body has adjusted to this cooler weather and I prefer to run in it. And, we logged 2 miles, Run Faster, Mama! Now, as fall quickly approaches, I've got a running schedule lined up, along with Moms Run This Town Meetups & Bootcamps. I might just incorporate both in one Meetup some weeks, depending on the mother runners. I understand that not everyone will not embrace the cooler, rainy weather as I do. But I sure hope they can change their minds just a bit, even if it's a "controlled" run around the track. I've got a few routes lined up with the double/single jogger. My 3 year old recently started preschool on Tuesday & Thursdays, so that's give me some SOLO time with my baby girl. She is going to love it. I don't want to spend the entire 2 hours just running, so I'm planning to dedicate one hour, maybe 30minutes to a RUN and the rest to her. I'm excited! Are y'all excited!? Fall is such a FABULOUS Season, especially in the Pacific Northwest. There's LOTS to do around here and plenty that will keep us entertained while husband is on deployment. It's the second year in a row that he is missing out on.

Here's an AMAZING Photo shared on September 20, via U.S. Pacific Fleet FB page; My Husband is on the USS John C. Stennis and it's the huge carrier at the back end of the photo. My girls were SO happy to SEE what daddy is doing, instead of listening to me say it. I  LOVE IT!

Run Faster, Mama!

Running in the Rain. I just had to get out there and I absolutely loved every single BURNING second on that pavement/track!! I had a few cancellations for bootcamp, typical on a rainy day, before I even headed out, so I decided just to ENJOY the run and swing by the track in case anyone else showed up. The thing about it is, I LOVE RAIN!! I enjoy the outdoors and this was my first attempt at my current challenge with my ever so changing schedule. Baby Girls were excited to get out in the rain too, and enjoyed the view along the Base Roadways. Whewww....going uphill with a double jogger is TOUGH, really TOUGH!! I was winded after 10 minutes but I kept going. Made it, kept going, went around towards the gym and ran a few laps around the track to complete 2.02 Miles in 28:55. Not too bad with rainfall. We hung out, re-fueled & stretched out before walking back home. I already have a few routes in mind for my next run and another mother runner who wants to join in. Excited to be giving my outdoor runs back in action. WhOoHoOOooo!!!

It's a Fabulous Friday Y'all!

I'm SUPER PUMPED for today's BOOTCAMP!!! I've created a FABULOUS ROUTINE & I can't wait to get after it!!! It's a little INTENSE and VERY different from my past BOOTCAMPS!! It involves rounds, using the track; I'm calling it 5,4,3,2,1,GO!! And, it's definitely going to be one heck of a workout!!!

I'm Even getting in a QUICK Run before class, Mama need to stretch her legs!!

Whoop! Whoop!!

Have a Fabulous Fitness-Filled Friday Y'all!!

Thursday Talk about it!

Phew! It was an [EARLY] busy morning!!

My precious girl started her FIRST DAY OF PRESCHOOL today!!! She has been so eager to start since big sister started FIRST GRADE, 3 weeks ago. I was the one who was sad, and tearing up while getting her dressed (multiple times she changed her mind on her outfit, typical) and doing her hair. I even made her new korker bows, she LOVED them!!

My workout routines have been challenging to squeeze in this week but no fear, it's happening!! It's that kind of week, you know, that kind of week. Wah!

Tomorrow's BOOTCAMP and I have few tricks up my sleeves, let's just say, it's going to be a FABULOUS FRIDAY w/RUNNING included!!

In non-related fitness things; I've got my hands full with planning all the [small] details for the upcoming FALL FESTIVAL, as Social Chair for the FRG Committee. Everyone is excited to see all the ideas we've planned come to life. And, I am thrilled to be apart of it. I've got a fabulous group of gals to volunteer. WooHoo, BIG THINGS AHEAD!!!!!

Have a Fabulous Fitness-Filled Day!!

Moms Run This Town!!

Wednesday Runday!

Moms Run This Town Meetup had an excellent turn out.
We had some fog to conquer and only did one running interval since they were littles not in strollers. We enjoyed the conversation and stroll along the pavement & trails.
2 miles logged!

Another Mother Runner's 10 Q&A!

The gals over at Another Mother Runner, have a questionnaire going on and I'm jumping in. You can read theirs here and here.

1.  Best run ever:  In all honesty, anytime I get on in the pavement/trail, with or without my girls.  I did run 7 miles before husband left on deployment, and it was so refreshing, and on  amazing [new] route.

2.  Three words that describe my running:  Powerful, Exhilarating, Fabulous.

3.  My go-to running outfit is: Yes, I have specific running gear; moisture compression tights, champion (super supportive) sports bra, shirt or tank and then either pair of running shoes, I like to rotate.

4.  Quirky habit while running:  Hmm...I always tend to punch in the air during a song, bop my head along with the beat, shake my shoulders up, like what!!, throw my hands on the air, like I just don't care after conquering a hill...I run and dance.

5.  Morning, midday, evening:  Anytime, when I have a husband home with our girls. Other than that, it's during the day, mostly morning.

6.  I won't run outside when it's: Since moving the the beautiful state of Washington, I've learned to run in all kinds of conditions, rain, snow, heat, cold....It's if heavily pouring, I'll head to the treadmill instead.

7.  Worst injury - and how I got over it:  This past year, I was eager and sometimes careless and in the process, injured myself a *few* times, ankle had me off the pavement for nearly 2 months last summer. It sucked. I invested in a SPIN BIKE, and it helped with my cardio, I love me some Spinning. Once, we settled into Washington, I picked up my running and I felt amazing!!

8.  I felt most like a badass mother runner when: When I run with my double jogger, that's right...Pushing all that weight and logging in miles, has me feeling like total badass mother runner.

9.  Next race is:  We have 2 Virtual Races with Moms Run This Town in October, The Cupcake Classic 2012 5k and Zensah Zombie #Anywhere5K

10.  Potential running goal for 2013: FULL MARATHON! I haven't chosen one, still waiting to hear the homecoming frame, but will start training next year. I want my husband and girls waiting at the finish line.

Hello, Tuesday!

Whewww, what a day so far!!

It's a REST day for Les Mills Pump, WEEK 4 is underway, but I was still on the go!
Bootcamp is rescheduled for Friday and tomorrow is Moms Run This Town Meetup, my 3rd week hosting the Morning Run, we have a few new faces; Yay!!
After the morning routine craziness, and walk to gate for Leanna, I rushed back home.
Had to be at the college at 9:30 for placement tests.
That's right this Mama is getting her booty off the online classes and into a classroom. I've spent the last, almost, 2 1/2 years with online school, and I just need my math/reading credits to EARN my Associates in Business Admin!! BIG DEAL!!

Well, the testing was ROUGH, who uses algebra on the day to day basis?! Not me!
I was overwhelmed and I knew I wasn't going to score high. Even, the reading was out of this world to me, thanks to every day talking and the blogging word isn't grammar critical.

So, I get to spend a few weeks (months) before re-testing and then registering for the next quarter. Which, is PERFECT!!

And, besides the studying and current (upcoming) workout routines, the day to day of being a Mama and house duties,  I'm starting back to a few basic crafts; sewing and crocheting, like the cozy for my coffee on the go in the picture above. I spend an hour last night, in bed, relaxing and making that cuteness. And, getting into the routine of having a First Grader and Preschooler. My girl starts preschool on Thursday, BIG DAY for her. And, she is SO excited!! I'll have Tues/Thurs to give one-on-one to my baby girl while squeezing in RUN with a SINGLE JOGGER too!! I'm looking forward to the remainder of the year.

Here's what kept me busy last week; the start of fall crafts & care packages for husband and brother. Y'all already knew that, right? My little brother and husband are on the same carrier, on deployment. It's pretty awesome!! I'm a proud Navy wife & sister!!
