The week ahead...

While folding laundry, I kept thinking of the week aheaddd....it's a BUSSAAYYYY one!!

And, tonight's craft project was just perfect. 

My latest craze in my creative crafts; Wood!!

It's FABULOUS. It's MEANINGFUL!

Back to the week ahead; along with the daily craziness of 3 girls & household duties.

Week 8 of Les Mills Pump/Kickbox Combo. Morning errands with my baby girls. Coffee dates. Orientation. Meeting for Volunteers for Fall Festival. Spinning for Recovery Week. Double School Mornings Tuesday and Thursday. Moms Run This Town FIRST Virtual Race; The Cupcake Classic 5k. Fall Festival Prep. Soccer Practice. FRG Meeting. Hosting FIRST {Eat. Craft. Drink} Event. Soccer Game. Fall Festival Event. 

I'm thankful for busy-filled weeks. These are the kind of weeks that make me forget about deployment. It gets rough some days, I break down in tears, I miss my husband, my partner in parenthood, my best friend. I have to keep on keeping on for myself and my girls. Because they miss their daddy just as much. We have some special crafts we are working on to add to his care package. Special for him, he is a family man, the most amazing father.

Hurry, deployment, be over already!!

Hello, Tuesday!

Whewww, what a day so far!!

It's a REST day for Les Mills Pump, WEEK 4 is underway, but I was still on the go!
Bootcamp is rescheduled for Friday and tomorrow is Moms Run This Town Meetup, my 3rd week hosting the Morning Run, we have a few new faces; Yay!!
After the morning routine craziness, and walk to gate for Leanna, I rushed back home. 
Had to be at the college at 9:30 for placement tests.

That's right this Mama is getting her booty off the online classes and into a classroom. I've spent the last, almost, 2 1/2 years with online school, and I just need my math/reading credits to EARN my Associates in Business Admin!! BIG DEAL!! 

Well, the testing was ROUGH, who uses algebra on the day to day basis?! Not me!
I was overwhelmed and I knew I wasn't going to score high. Even, the reading was out of this world to me, thanks to every day talking and the blogging word isn't grammar critical. 

So, I get to spend a few weeks (months) before re-testing and then registering for the next quarter. Which, is PERFECT!! 

And, besides the studying and current (upcoming) workout routines, the day to day of being a Mama and house duties,  I'm starting back to a few basic crafts; sewing and crocheting, like the cozy for my coffee on the go in the picture above. I spend an hour last night, in bed, relaxing and making that cuteness. And, getting into the routine of having a First Grader and Preschooler. My girl starts preschool on Thursday, BIG DAY for her. And, she is SO excited!! I'll have Tues/Thurs to give one-on-one to my baby girl while squeezing in RUN with a SINGLE JOGGER too!! I'm looking forward to the remainder of the year.

Here's what kept me busy last week; the start of fall crafts & care packages for husband and brother. Y'all already knew that, right? My little brother and husband are on the same carrier, on deployment. It's pretty awesome!! I'm a proud Navy wife & sister!!

Hello Again, Rest Day!

I had a LONG RUN on schedule but that's not going to happen and I'm okay with that. This morning, baby girl and I shared a bowl of steel cut oats w/the delicious blackberries we picked yesterday. SO GOOD!!

Husband was home mid-morning after a duty day. My brother came over and spent some time hanging out. I did a little cleaning, went to register my girl at her new school!! And, we added another piece to a project I had started to work on 2 months ago, dining room hutch!!! I'll be choosing another color scheme; My FIRST project on my "deployment projects" list!! I'm a CREATIVE CRAFTY mama, DIY, unique furniture make-over, I could go on, really.....another outlet besides running/fitness!! I'm also EXCITED to start and host Happy {CRAFTY} Hour in September!! Where a few Military Mama's get together and work on creative projects or a weekly themed project challenge!! Something we need while our loved one's are on deployment!!

I am feeling the squats and burpees!! Tomorrow is an EARLY DAY; I'll be refreshed and ready to RUN and complete The Bug Run Half-Marathon!!
