Motivational Mondays!

This goes well with my latest post, Hello, October!!!!

"Don't wait to for inspiration to find you; BECOME IT!!"

Hello, October!!

Phew!! It's been a BUSY few days!!

My girl had her FIRST Soccer Game for 2012, Saturday Morning. I am one PROUD SOCCER MAMA!! She went in there, NO FEAR! She cheered on her teammates even on the opposing team after each goal was made. And, at the end, reminded everyone, "It's not about winning, it's about having fun." She's definitely a champ in my book. We got home and held down the couch for the rest of the weekend. I got a lot of details squared away for the upcoming Fall Festival. It's a busy-fun month of events for us, apple dipping, happy {crafty} hour, pie party,.....whoohoo!!!

As we relaxed, I kept my bum knee elevated, iced and tried to remain away from the staircase but couldn't with chores and busy with girls. I also, spent some time updating the October Calendar with a few favorite "oldies" added back in. Notice, my friend, Jillian, she's back!! Today also starts the MRTT Holiday Challenge, first up is, Frightfully Fabulous Arms!! I'm adding an Arms routine to tomorrows Moms Run This Town Meetup, using the great outdoors!!

EARLY this morning, I welcomed October with a double workout BEFORE waking the girls for the day. It's WEEK 6 for Les Mills Pump!! I'm HALFWAY through the program, and with 30lbs on the bar, it was INTENSE!! Jillian had my heart pumping, she's still killer!! I kind of missed that lady. It's always a good time to go back to the routines you first started with!! I stayed away from squats and lunges, anything that would make my knee "click", still got sweaty and muscles burning; fabulous feeling!! I'll be ending the day with my fabulous BOSU Routine!! Whew!!

I also, had my physical therapy appointment, after this and that, he determined that I had Runner's Knee!! As a result, of that major downhill RUN back in August, I took on too much to the cartridge, luckily no major rehab or surgery. They did do X-RAYs just to be safe.  I've been hearing clicking from the knee since Wednesday and he said that's not a big issue, and common; still no fun hearing it. Running isn't eliminated, I do have to ease into it, Whew!! I was RELIEVED to hear that. Same thing with Spinning. I have a few different rehab exercises to do 2-3 times daily. And, need to focus on my stretching. Hello,YOGA! Back to the calendar to tweek the upcoming routines, I'm EXCITED to add a BIG piece of equipment to my gym; SO EXCITED!!

Rest Day: Runners Rant!!

Rest Day?!

Oh, you mean "active" rest day, the day you still remain ridiculously BUSY but don't have to squeeze in a workout. Well, that was yesterday and now again, today. My knee has been click, click, clicking since Wednesday's Bootcamp, I was never a fan of LUNGES! And, was reminded why! Booo!!

I'm not even sure why I'm currently sitting my as$ on the PC blogging anyways,..well I am enjoying my Dirty Dirty Venti Chai Tea Latte.  Had to run to Target to grab a new dress for picture day since a stupid stain did not want to wash out from Leanna's dress. BOO!! I've got a few errands to run before an early evening meeting with my social committee members and then PTA Event tonight. Yep, 2 other roles I have besides, Mama, Wife, Fit Mama/Runner, etc....

RUNNERS RANT: Bum Knee Drama. I have my first Physical Therapy Appt on Monday, I'm a little nervous. The thing is, it has NOT been bothering me since my last appointment, almost 3 weeks ago. Well, until Wednesdays Bootcamp. It so happens to be the SAME knee, I had physical therapy on a few years ago, 5 years ago to be exact. I've tried NOT going upstairs as much since Wednesday, that's the only time it "clicks". I was happy for my comeback but there's still drama hanging around. I'll keep optimistic!! I'll keep optimistic!!
One the UPSIDE, I lost 6.4lbs in September; BIG DEAL!!! Even with my little running time, I've had plenty of other routines to keep me active and they are showing it. I'll have a Recap of PHASE 1 for Les Mills Pump!! I can't believe I'm going into Week 6 on MONDAY, halfway through the program!! Whoop! Whoop!!

October will be a Fabulous Month of Races!!
The Girls are registered for the Kid Run This Town Virtual Challenge!!
Local Moms Run This Town will have TWO Virtual RACES!!
Let's get those RUNNING SHOES tied and get MOVING!!!
Upcoming Races for October:

Great Day, Folks!!

I'll just say THANK YOU again to the RUNNING GODS!!
My legs were certainly feeling sore last night, 2 days of Running felt AMAZING!!
And, then add this mornings [Week 3] Les Mills Pump Workout; Ouch!!
Lifting 35lbs on the bar, add in squats, deadlifts, clean & presses...
Walking upstairs and lifting baby girl is making me SMILE BIG!!

This morning, I saw a post for this weekends Virtual 9/11 Memorial #Anywhere5k; I was a WINNER for a $15 Gift Certificate for RoadID from the; AWESOME!!
And, then I remember I also had WON a prize from the Virtual Scavenger Hunt & 5k hosted by Running for Dummies, a fabulous running skirt.
It's not about winning, but who doesn't love something new.
The real WINNING came from RUNNING with NO PAINS!!

I haven't mentioned it much because it makes me a little sad, honestly.
My knee hasn't be the same since that KILLER hill a few weeks ago.
I had been self-mending and finally decided to get it checked, last Thursday.
They referred me to Sports Medicine for possible rehab, looks like I might have a meniscus tear. It's only been random pains on random runs. Not too often. Doc didn't rule out running completely, however, said to take it easy, and pace myself, which I had been doing. And, just when my race schedule was picking up. It's not bringing me down.

My Baby Girl had a check-up, and is still my itty bitty at 20lbs 2 oz at 19 months!!
Ailea is almost 25 lbs, pretty insane who they are so close in weight. And, I feel it!

WooHoo, received some HAPPY MAIL; finally!! The vinyl for Moms Run This Town and The Great Cupcake Race Medal!! Way to start a Fabulous Week

Tonight, I'll hit the ELLIPTICAL for some bedtime miles!! Mama needs to get moving, and this will helppppp...
