hey, girl, heyyyyy...

hi. hello. hola. hey. yo. 'sup. how you doin'.

it's been a while. a long while. nearly 4 months since I posted. Whoa!

where have I been? drinking pitchers of margaritas, eating fast food, making my girls top priority, welcoming husband back home from an 8 month deployment, getting back on my game! It gets crazy around here. And, it's shown on my waistline, err, thighs, arms...errrr'where!!

okay, enough pouting! I've been busy, busy enjoying life, focusing on our complete family, enjoying the view... ... ....

I've continued running (duh), picked up an 8 week training plan, still going strong on 12 weeks of Les Mills Hybrid {les mills pump & les mills combat} to keep my ass moving. I'm on Week 10 of that program; Whew!! I've ran 2-3 half marathons since my last post. For the last couple of weeks, I've been pushing myself out of bed at 4AM, yep, 4.frigging.AM, to go RUN, to get those training miles in. Why so early? Well, husband heads off to work around 5:45-6. So, if I want a stress-free run (errr, not rushing to get dinner done, exhausted from the day,...), I figured, the earlier the better. It works, I'm out the door by 4:30ish and log in between 3-5 miles. Long Runs are for the weekends, and I'm still up EARLY to get it done before coming home to an awake house. Oh, I just recently (this past weekend) got a RAGNAR under my belt. It was AWESOME!! I joined 3 other MRTT ladies, for an adventure up North. I saw the CANADA Border Entrance!! I was runner #2 in Van #1, ran roughly 16 miles, picking up 2.40 miles from injured runner #3. I'm looking forward to MORE. Yep, relays are another level of running awesomeness!!

I'd flood you with photo's but uhmm, I'm still trying to figure out what to share in the post. Just a catch up, I suppose. If your on FB, dailymile, IG (rosannarox), you'll notice my flood of FITNESS posts, runs, beachbody posts, my fitness pal,,,....and so on!! Told y'all I'm back on it. IT.IS.TOUGH, when you stop nursing (killer calorie burner//my secret tool) and gain weight. I didn't care at first, I should of. I should of stayed away from rita's and wendy's too. Hah! I gained pretty much every single pound I had lost post-pregnancy. Now, Serena is pushing 2 1/2, and I'm here busting my ass to lose that weight. GREAT! whatever, live, love & learn!

Have a fabulous day y'all!!

Stroller Strides, Spin & Snickers!

happy {rest day} Wednesday!
Err,...yoga/stretching is my rest day routine!
Ohhhh, I need it too!

Let's take it back to Monday, really quick.
I got my butt kicked at stroller strides, Calli is an awesome instructor!! Like, seriously!! And, it was a perfect way to start the week. I hadn't been to a stroller strides class since 2008! When I had one kiddo, we went all summer long +, approximately 5 months and then I gradually stopped when I found out I was pregnant with baby girl #2. I loved it then and it helped me shed 15 lbs. Monday's class was challenging, especially after the weekend miles! We logged in 2.5 miles, with awesome stations! Whewwwwwww!!! I'm excited to add it into my always-growing fitness routine, even if its once or twice a week.

Tuesday, I finallyyyyyy jumped onto the saddle for a SPIN CLASS!!! Yessssss, it's been forever since I've been in a class setting and I was loving it!! I'm SO thankful for awesome friends. I learned new terms for routines I have done, I learned new moves for different areas, core work while spinning (whoa!). I was sweating buckets, seriously. The instructor was pretty awesome! I'm excited to add spin classes back into my routine. I logged in 12.1 [intense] miles. After class, I went into a crazy chocolate craving; snickers and I went in. It was the perfect combination; spin & snickers! Hehehe

les mills combat: Week 3!!
Wheww! Can I tell y'all, my biceps popped with round one of les mills pump! And, I absolutely LOVE seeing them with combat. I can't get enough of this fabulous program! It has it all: hot warriors, jabs, SQUATS, burpees, planks, kicks,...amazing combinations!!

in sickness & in health...

I've been trying to lay "low" to kick this sickness out of my system.  I pushed myself on Monday for an elliptical workout & November [daily] challenge. And, I've been struggling since then. Yesterdays severe headache had me limited, pushed through the morning school madness but took it easy at home. It's mostly allergy-related but those headaches are NO JOKE, and my voice is all scratchy! Booo!! I even received the TURBOFIRE package but it was stuck, since the mail key wasn't working.

TODAY was up & down. UNTIL, I received a knock at the door and there it was, TURBOFIRE!!

I was EXCITED!! I wanted to jump into it immediately but waited....until naptime. Haha. Even, Ailea and Serena were excited to see what was in the package. I just wanted to "see", I quickly changed into workout gear and laced up my shoes. BOOM!! Just like that, I did DAY 1!! Whoooaaaaaa, she was something else. I'm the least coordinated person you will ever meet. And, that was my BIGGEST challenge, not the workout, keeping up with the fast, intense, moving routine. I LOVE the kickboxing aspect, surprisingly the squats didn't cause knee pain; YAYYY!!! I was SWEATING by the end of it. I'm REALLY liking that woman, she is spunky, the music was good, the workout was killer! I won't kick off the program until I complete my last few weeks of Les Mills Pump!! And, the last few weeks aren't as intense, sooo, that works with kicking this current sickness I have going in. 90 days is still pretty intimidating. There's no turning back now!!

I was so PUMPED from Turbofire, that I wanted to get out for some 'stennis miles'.
So, right after Serena woke up from naptime, they snacked and then we headed out to the gym. I was pushing it close because Leanna was due to be off school soon. My first mile went pretty fast, 10:32, but then I noticed a little someone had climbed on the furniture. STOP. And, then back to it, I started off slower, lost my momentum and just gave it an easy go. It was also my FIRST time in running shorts outside the house. And, running in them. Different. They held up, there was still some 'jiggle' but I didn't mind it. I still got my run on.
Finished Strong at 2 Miles in 22:40

Hello, October!!

Phew!! It's been a BUSY few days!!

My girl had her FIRST Soccer Game for 2012, Saturday Morning. I am one PROUD SOCCER MAMA!! She went in there, NO FEAR! She cheered on her teammates even on the opposing team after each goal was made. And, at the end, reminded everyone, "It's not about winning, it's about having fun." She's definitely a champ in my book. We got home and held down the couch for the rest of the weekend. I got a lot of details squared away for the upcoming Fall Festival. It's a busy-fun month of events for us, apple dipping, happy {crafty} hour, pie party,.....whoohoo!!!

As we relaxed, I kept my bum knee elevated, iced and tried to remain away from the staircase but couldn't with chores and busy with girls. I also, spent some time updating the October Calendar with a few favorite "oldies" added back in. Notice, my friend, Jillian, she's back!! Today also starts the MRTT Holiday Challenge, first up is, Frightfully Fabulous Arms!! I'm adding an Arms routine to tomorrows Moms Run This Town Meetup, using the great outdoors!!

EARLY this morning, I welcomed October with a double workout BEFORE waking the girls for the day. It's WEEK 6 for Les Mills Pump!! I'm HALFWAY through the program, and with 30lbs on the bar, it was INTENSE!! Jillian had my heart pumping, she's still killer!! I kind of missed that lady. It's always a good time to go back to the routines you first started with!! I stayed away from squats and lunges, anything that would make my knee "click", still got sweaty and muscles burning; fabulous feeling!! I'll be ending the day with my fabulous BOSU Routine!! Whew!!

I also, had my physical therapy appointment, after this and that, he determined that I had Runner's Knee!! As a result, of that major downhill RUN back in August, I took on too much to the cartridge, luckily no major rehab or surgery. They did do X-RAYs just to be safe.  I've been hearing clicking from the knee since Wednesday and he said that's not a big issue, and common; still no fun hearing it. Running isn't eliminated, I do have to ease into it, Whew!! I was RELIEVED to hear that. Same thing with Spinning. I have a few different rehab exercises to do 2-3 times daily. And, need to focus on my stretching. Hello,YOGA! Back to the calendar to tweek the upcoming routines, I'm EXCITED to add a BIG piece of equipment to my gym; SO EXCITED!!

Les Mills Pump!

WEEK ONE/DAY ONE!!
What better way to kill a deployment than to start this Amazing 13 week program?!?!?

I'm back to this fabulous BeachBody Program, LES MILL PUMP!!

This round, I'll complete the 13 weeks, I'm looking forward to it; I have another set of weights to add in, 7.5lbs. So, I'll be lifting HEAVY, I'm sure I'll add more halfway through!! LIFTING is apart of my TONING PHASE and I LOVE it!!

If your instrested, you can visit my BeachBody site and order it. You will LOVE the REP EFFECT!!! It's a KILLER workout; squats, lunges, deadlifts, ..... keeps you going!!
